Saturday sees Selby arrive at Sutherland Park for 1500 kick offs vs our 1st and 2nd XV sides.

Things to look out for on Pitch 1

– the debut of ex RGS student Odi Okoli. Has the ability to play both sides of the scrum. Odi has loved getting back into rugby after some time playing American Football.

– the return of Gav Wilson to the first team squad. A Vos lad who has been working away in Sheffield. Having gained a teaching job back home it is great to have him back at Vos and starting alongside his good made Brandon Gilbert.

– debut for Will Alexander who has impressed at training and in early fixtures.

– first games this season for Jonny Cotterill, Rhys Merlane, Sam Evans, Joe Grant, Cam Wallace and Harry Tankard

On Pitch 2

– club debut for Will Steward, Fred Abraham, Ben Dempsey and Thomas Hobden. All Uni lads – front rower, two scrum halves and a centre added to our ranks.

– also look out for returning Vos lads having their first game at home since returning to the club – Reuben McLeod, Owen Sanderson and Ethan Morton. Not forgetting the home debut of ex colt Thomas Aldridge.

So much to look forward to with league rugby on the horizon. An amazing time to get involved at Novos as a player – 98 different lads down so far at pre-season training.

Get down and support the lads in what will be two difficult games against a well-established level 6 club.
