Our only 7’s event of the year has arrived – The Unloveables and The Undateables travel to Tynedale 7’s on 20th June.

We made an early decision last August to only enter this tournament. Almost seems like we had seen into the future – 34 games later and the first team got the treble. However, a season wouldn’t be complete without our annual pilgrimage to Tynedale for their 7’s event and beerfest.

The tournament is on the 20th June with the first matches expected to start at 1000. Could do with Northern Rail helping the lads out and putting on an extra train in the morning – between 0800 and 0815 if you are reading this.

Thereafter Hawaiian shirts will be at the ready for the evenings proceedings.

The Unloveables who will play in our home kit are set to have Middlesbrough, Medicals and Ferguson Fitness HQ in Pool D.

The Undateables who will play in our away kit are set to have 3RHA, Jesmond Jackals and Halty Stampede in Pool A.

Within the squads look out for the return of some of our uni boys who are back in town – Bart Farrier, Ollie Harris, Tom Westgarth, Freddie McGregor, Seb Shilling, Patrick Magill as well as Harry Ryder who has returned from uni in the USA to put a shirt on.

Be great to see them all again and provide them an opportunity to put the shirt on. Although, we hope that they will all be around for pre season, and the Aug/Sep matches before heading back to their unis.

So please try and make the effort to get down and watch the boys. Buy a ticket to the beerfest, get a Hawaiian shirt on a share drink in what is officially the final chapter of an incredible season.

We then look forward to the Twickenham Rewatch party on Friday the 3rd July. Which is also being used as a pre season launch as we start training on Tuesday the 7th July !
